Sponsur is a groundbreaking fundraising platform designed to empower individuals and organizations to raise funds for various causes. Inspired by GoFundMe, Sponsur focuses on providing a seamless user experience and innovative features that set it apart from other fundraising platforms. My role as the lead designer encompassed the entire design process, from ideation to design handover, ensuring a cohesive and user-centric product.

Ideation and Concept Development

The project began with a comprehensive research phase, where I analyzed existing fundraising platforms, identified user pain points, and explored potential improvements. Through user interviews and surveys, I gathered valuable insights into what users expect from a fundraising platform. Key findings highlighted the need for transparency, ease of use, and robust support features.

With these insights, I brainstormed ideas and concepts that could address the identified issues. I collaborated with stakeholders to refine these ideas, ensuring they aligned with the project's goals and user needs. We decided to focus on creating a platform that was not only functional but also emotionally engaging, fostering a sense of community and trust.

User Experience Design

In the UX design phase, I created detailed user personas representing our target audience. These personas guided the design process, ensuring that every decision was user-centric. I mapped out user journeys for various scenarios, such as starting a campaign, donating to a cause, and sharing campaigns on social media.

I then developed wireframes for key screens, focusing on intuitive navigation and a streamlined user flow. The wireframes underwent several rounds of feedback and iteration, incorporating suggestions from users and stakeholders. This iterative approach ensured that the final design was both user-friendly and aligned with the project's objectives.

Visual Design

With the UX framework in place, I moved on to the visual design phase. The goal was to create a visually appealing and emotionally resonant interface that would enhance user engagement. I chose a color palette that evoked trust and compassion, combined with a clean and modern design aesthetic.

I designed high-fidelity mockups for all key screens, including the homepage, campaign creation flow, campaign detail pages, donation process, and user dashboards. Each element was meticulously crafted to ensure a cohesive visual identity and a consistent user experience.


Interaction Design

To bring the visual designs to life, I focused on interaction design, ensuring that every interaction felt natural and intuitive. I created interactive prototypes using tools like Figma, allowing stakeholders and users to experience the platform's flow and functionality firsthand.

I paid special attention to micro-interactions, such as hover effects, button animations, and form validations, to create a delightful user experience. These subtle details significantly enhanced the overall usability and engagement of the platform.

Usability Testing

Before finalizing the design, I conducted extensive usability testing with real users. I organized remote and in-person testing sessions, where participants completed various tasks on the platform. Their feedback was invaluable in identifying usability issues and areas for improvement.

I compiled the findings from these sessions and made necessary adjustments to the design. This user-centered approach ensured that the final product was intuitive and met the needs of our target audience.

Design Handoff

Once the design was refined and validated, I prepared for the design handoff to the development team. I created a comprehensive design system, including a style guide, component library, and detailed design specifications. This documentation ensured a smooth transition from design to development and maintained consistency throughout the implementation phase.

I worked closely with developers during the handoff, addressing any questions and providing additional assets as needed. Regular check-ins and collaboration ensured that the final product stayed true to the original design vision.
